About the event

The photo forensics training will introduce OSINT tools to assist researchers and fact-checkers in identifying photo manipulation and forgeries. These tools encompass online and CLI applications, photo filters, and reverse image searches. The training draws from real DFRLab cases or those with media coverage that have played a significant role in online information manipulation. Moreover, the training delves into AI-generated content identification and debunking deepfakes, incorporating cutting-edge research and hands-on techniques. Interactive sessions with the audience are included, requiring an internet connection. The objective is to actively apply the presented tools and methodologies to facilitate genuine investigations and photo forensics debunking. This equips participants to detect forgeries, manipulations, and impersonations effectively.
